I may get raped, I can be killed, I am boycotted socially to fight for justice: Kathua rape victim’s lawyer

Kathua rape victim’s lawyer Deepika Singh Rajawat on Sunday reported she fears for her lifestyle as she may possibly get raped or murdered.

“Today, I really do not know, I am not in my senses. I can be raped, I can be killed and may possibly be they will not enable me to follow in court. They (have) isolated me, I really do not know how I can endure,” Advocate Deepika Singh Rajawat told ANI.

She included that she has been identified as anti-Hindu and boycotted socially.

Even more, Deepika reported she would be approaching the Supreme Court to desire protection for herself and her family.

“I will tell this to the Supreme Court docket. I am feeling bad and it is genuinely unlucky. You can properly imagined my plight. But, I will stand for justice and we would search for justice for the 8-yr-previous woman,” she concluded.

Earlier currently, the Bar Council of India (BCI) reported a panel has been fashioned to probe the actions of Jammu and Kashmir Bar Association lawyers, who experienced stopped police from submitting a chargesheet in the Kathua rape and murder situation.

In connection with the situation, two First Information Studies (FIRs) have been submitted: one in opposition to 8 individuals for allegedly currently being associated in the criminal offense and another has been submitted in opposition to a group of lawyers which experienced allegedly stopped the police from submitting chargesheet in opposition to the 8 accused.

Two Bharatiya Janata Bash (BJP) ministers leaders, Chandra Prakash Ganga and Lal Singh, have also resigned following accusations of attending a rally in aid of the miscreants responsible for the criminal offense.

The alleged gangrape and murder of the 8-yr-previous woman, who belonged to nomadic Muslim community, took put in the Kathua district in January. Right after currently being missing for a week, her human body was observed on January 17.

The chargesheet has uncovered gory aspects about the criminal offense and this has led to a community outcry in several components of the country.
