Trump Plan Stresses Guns in Schools, Drops Age Limit

A White Residence program to decrease gun violence at universities involves paying out federal revenue on schooling university staffers to carry concealed weapons, but not President Trump’s before simply call to elevate the age limit for purchasing guns, the Wall Street Journal experiences.

The White Residence also backs legislation by Sens. John Cornyn (R-TX) and Chris Murphy (D-CT) to improve track record checks for gun buys. Cornyn claims he has the 60 votes important to pass the evaluate in the Senate. The Trump program involves calling on states to allow for police, with courtroom acceptance, to get rid of firearms from individuals who are a threat to themselves or some others, and to ban “bump stock” products that allow for some firearms to functionality as device guns.

The new commission, headed by Instruction Secretary Betsy DeVos, also will research the effects of violent video video games and other amusement and press coverage of mass shootings. “There’s no time to waste,” DeVos reported.
